Hotel Duomo Firenze is the only hotel on Piazza del Duomo in Florence, Italy. For stays from October 24 to December 24, 2026, guests who book directly on the hotel’s official website receive an extra discount on our Flexible Prepaid Rate: 3% for stays until November 14 and 5% from November 15 to December 24. It’s the season when the summer crowds thin out, the Christmas lights go up, and Brunelleschi’s Dome glows outside our windows in a soft light you won’t see in July.

How the Flexible Prepaid Rate works
The Autumn offer applies to our Flexible Prepaid Rate, available for direct bookings only:
- Full payment by credit card at the time of booking.
- Changeable up to 30 days before arrival (45 days for stays of 5+ nights and/or 2+ rooms): you receive a voucher valid for 12 months to rebook.
- Resale until 11:59 PM the day before arrival: if your plans change, we put your room back on sale. For nights successfully resold you get a 12-month voucher or a refund, net of any commissions.
- Nights that are not resold are non-refundable.

Why visit Florence in autumn
- Shorter lines at the museums and the Cathedral than in spring and summer, with mild days still common in late October and early November.
- Tuscan harvest season: new olive oil, roasted chestnuts and, on November weekends, the White Truffle Fair in San Miniato, an easy train ride from Florence.

Staying on Piazza del Duomo
Hotel Duomo Firenze occupies the third, fourth and fifth floors of Palazzo Ranieri Gondi at Piazza del Duomo 1, and has been family-run since 1953. Its 24 rooms range from Smart singles to the DeLuxe; 13 rooms have a Duomo view, and three of them (31, 32 and 33) have a private balcony overlooking the Cathedral and the Dome. All guests can use the panoramic terrace, where breakfast is served in the morning and a complimentary refreshment corner is available during the day.
Santa Maria Novella train station is about 700 meters away, roughly a 10-minute walk. The Uffizi Gallery, Ponte Vecchio, Piazza della Signoria and the Accademia Gallery are all within walking distance.
