We are a small 3-star hotel: we don’t have a restaurant, a spa or a gym. What we do have is a front desk staffed around the clock, a terrace overlooking the Dome and a family that has been welcoming guests on Piazza del Duomo since 1953. Here is everything, without surprises.
Included in every stay

- Free, unlimited luggage storage on arrival and departure day
- Iron and ironing board in a common area (ironing is not allowed in the rooms for safety reasons)
- Staff who speak Italian, English, French, German and Portuguese
Breakfast
You can book a room with breakfast or room only. Breakfast is a sweet and savoury buffet served every day from 7:30 to 10:00 am: €12 per person when booked with the room, €15 per person when requested at the hotel during your stay (subject to availability).
Our staff make cappuccino and espresso with a professional espresso machine, as in an Italian café; there is also American coffee, tea, hot chocolate, hot and cold milk and fruit juices. On the savoury side: Prosciutto di Parma PDO sliced to order, Pecorino di Grotta, selected cured meats and cheeses, fresh mozzarella with cherry tomatoes, hard-boiled eggs, fresh bread, white and wholemeal toast, rusks and Philadelphia. On the sweet side: croissants, muffins, mini krapfen (small doughnuts), biscuits, homemade cakes, yogurt in several flavours, cereals and muesli, jams, honey, Nutella, pancakes made to order with maple syrup, and a natural honeycomb. Fresh seasonal fruit, dried fruit, nuts and seeds complete the buffet.
From January 7 to February 19, 2027 the breakfast room is closed for renovation. During that period breakfast is served at Bar Don Nino, on the ground floor of the same building, for €8 per person: cappuccino, coffee or tea, two pastries and fresh orange juice.

What we don’t have
- No restaurant (Florence has plenty within a few minutes’ walk: ask us)
- No spa, pool or gym
- No suites
- No on-site parking: the square is a pedestrian area
- A small elevator only (up to 3 people)
Not included in the price
Florence city tax: €6 per person per night, for a maximum of 7 nights; children under 12 are exempt. It is paid at the hotel.
